Ted Cruz appeared at the Faith and Freedom Coalition’s “Road to Majority” conference to deliver a speech.  He was one of the first speakers to take the stage and midway through his delivery, something hilarious happened.

Cruz stated:

“What I want to say to the men and women here are two things: number one, thank you, thank you, thank you. Thank you for your prayers, thank you for your passion, thank you for your time, thank you for your energy, thank you for speaking out and working to retake our nation.”

Then suddenly, the conference’s announcer hit the eject button on Cruz and announced the following speaker.  Cruz’s mic was cut off, but he continued to speak while obviously experiencing some embarrassment.

The strange part is Cruz is a fan-favorite and regularly speaks at the coalition’s annual conference.  He did have the chance to advise everyone in the room to “ignore the political circus” surrounding the Comey testimony.

Cruz urged those in attendance to “focus on delivering results.”
